It Takes a (Creative) Man to Make a Tender Chicken

Here’s an inspirational article I ran across the other day by Don Boudreaux from Standard of Living  entitled: “It Takes a Tough Man to Make a Tender Chicken.” This is useful knowledge if you own a blog and/or want to learn how to make money with your blog.

For those of you unfamiliar, the then famous branding slogan was coined by the Purdue Chicken Company. According to his wife Mitzi, “Frank Purdue became one of the first CEOs to appear in his own commercial.”

Frank Perdue alone has contributed more to our quality of life than has any politician you care to name.
This claim of mine will strike many as over the top.  But I mean it literally.  Perdue persuaded people to buy his chickens. Politicians force people to do their bidding.  Those in the force business are inherently less likely to care deeply about people — about real, flesh-and-blood people in all of our diversity — than are those, like Frank Perdue, whose success depends critically upon persuading millions of people to buy, and keep buying, their products. http://cafehayek.com/2005/12/it_takes_a_toug.html

Here’s another article that goes into more detail about Frank’s branding genius: Written by Mitzi Purdue  http://adage.com/article/agency-viewpoint/frank-perdue-a-tough-man-choose-agency/229067/

The Art of Branding

While I was reading about Frank Purdue, I couldn’t help compare some of his branding strategies with the person that helped me and thousands of others succeed with their blogs.

Hint: He is one of the master instructors at Blog Curation and founder of 1 Month To Money.
