Brockovich team's investigation of Le Roy Mystery Illness is "just getting started"
Le Roy Mystery Disease Update 2/22/2012: Not so fast… say’s Erin Brockovich- there’s much unfinished business in the town of Le Roy according to the well known environmental activist, who for about a week now seemed “off the job” and run out of the town of Le Roy NY.
The mystery illness which has seen almost two dozen in the town exhibit mysterious Tourette-like symptoms, caused parents of the affected kids to call in the Brockovich team. Preliminary investigations uncovered a train derailment chemical spill, fracking chemical spills on school grounds and other toxins lurking around the Le Roy High School.
Chemicals as a possible cause for the tics and twitching was not a welcome explanation for health officials including Dr. Laszlo Mechtler, the neurologist who has been appearing on national television touting a very convincing Conversion Disorder (mass hysteria) diagnosis. He and others who were just about to exhale (thinking this might be the end) are now in for round two:
ABC- By Kevin Dolak, Katie Kindelan, Linsey Davis, and Katie Moisse: In a statement released Tuesday, Brockovich said she is still investigating a plume from a 1970 train derailment in LeRoy, which dumped cyanide and trichloroethylene (TCE) — a chlorinated hydrocarbon used to de-grease metal parts — within three miles of the village’s high school.
The Environmental Protection Agency says that TCE can affect the central nervous system, and cause dizziness, headache, sleepiness, nausea, confusion, blurred vision and facial numbness. It is suspected of being inked to the symptoms among LeRoy’s local teens.
Brockovich associate Bob Bowcock reportedly said Feb. 11 that samples were taken from the wells of private residences had not migrated west and south — toward LeRoy High School — as some had feared. Although at the time Browcock said that the investigation would continue for the next several months, Brockovich Tuesday said that the tests he referred to were preliminary.
“Contrary to an erroneous news report, I want to make clear that my investigation into possible sources of environmental contamination in LeRoy, New York that may or may not be linked to the serious illnesses suffered by various members of the community is not complete,” Brockovich said in a statement. “In fact, it appears the number of people in the area displaying alarming health issues that can be caused by TCE is growing.
“It took the EPA 40 years to investigate the contamination from the train derailment and it will take us more than 40 days to get to the root of the problem in LeRoy. I want to further stress that we have not ruled out the TCE plume from the train derailment as a source of contamination at LeRoy High School,” she added.
Brockovich, 51, added that her team has many more areas of LeRoy to test, including the local quarry, six fracking wells at the high school and the Methyl tert-butyl ether (MtBE) contamination in local wells, while stressing that thoroughness is key in her investigation.
During a visit to the Le Roy High School property Jan. 28 to collect soil, air and water samples from the school grounds, Bowcock was asked by officials to leave. access whole article here
If this is the first you are hearing about the Le Roy Mystery Disease, there is a lot more to this story including an exclusive report from someone living in Le Roy who wrote in (very upset I might say). See how it has unfolded and why many believe that this mystery disease is 2012′s most distressing environmental cover up scandal.

I’m glad that Erin Brockovich’s team is continuing their search for toxins having an effect on the Le Roy area people who got tic disorders.
I believe that there can be SEVERAL factors at work, such as vaccination reactions, toxic chemicals (thank goodness Erin’s team is there!), AND INFECTIONS, & stress can make everything worse, too.
Here’s a press release from Dr. Trifiletti, New Jersey pediatric neuroloigst, which press release just came out on Wed. Feb. 22, 2012:
Wednesday, February 22, 2012: PRESS RELEASE:
LE ROY, NY TEENS: UPDATE FROM DR. TRIFILETTI
Ramsey, NJ — February 22, 2012 — Rosario Trifiletti, MD issued the following
statement today regarding the teens he is treating in Le Roy, NY. National attention was drawn to the plight of the teens when they were suddenly afflicted with uncontrollable bodily movements sometimes described as tics.
“I continue to work with a PANDAS-like diagnosis. The lab work is now complete on all
nine of the patients I examined on January 29, 2012 and has shown evidence of infection by either Streptococcus Pyogenes (the common strep throat bacterium, found in five of nine patients) or Mycoplasma Pneumonia (a bacteria-like agent that is a common cause of a mild pneumonia-like illness, found in eight of nine patients).
Two patients also meet CDC diagnostic criteria for Lyme disease. They are being treated appropriately according to the infectious agents found and are responding to treatment.
In my opinion, these objective findings, which would be exceedingly unlikely to occur by chance alone, support my diagnosis of a PANDAS-like illness. I must remain open to another possibility such as mass psychogenic illness, which can never be supported or refuted by objective findings. However, given the clinical and laboratory data, I find a PANDAS-like illness a very likely medical diagnosis in these children.
I hope to see the teenagers again soon, but given that I am doing house calls from some two hundred miles away, it requires extraordinary planning. In the meantime, I remain in close contact with their parents.”

It’s not over yet….go Erin!!!
I live near a wetland and have a fungal and parasitic mite infestation. My cat breaks out into Touretts’s like symptoms at times, running around and acting crazy…he’s not being cute or funny…he is in pain.
and I notice it while I am sleeping…these mites are affecting my central nervous system and cause me to have involuntary muscle reactions and jerks in my legs. I have cleaned and cleaned, but the spores are unavoidable. you can’t escape.
Breakdown of the immune system and allowing these guys to cross the blood/brain barrier generally is not caused by a single cause. It’s overload of toxins and the bodies response. Chemicals and heavy metals break down the immune system.
