Le Roy Mystery Disease Exclusive: 2/8/2012 The onslaught of Media surrounding the town of Le Roy (New York State’s new ”ground zero”) is having severe negative effects on the citizens of the once quiet little town according to a local Le Roy resident who recently wrote into Holistic Remedies News. What he/she has to say is worth all of us to read (pen name is “I-hate-Idiots” ):
"Fracking was never used in Leroy," according to one local Le Roy resident
I wish people would quit running there mouths without KNOWING what they are talking about
a: fracking was never used in Leroy the gas is not deep enough to require that all the wells are drilled and they have existed for over 30 years
b: people are not getting stone walled they where asked repeatedly to not harass staff/students during school hours at one point the police where called to remove the media circus so the students could have some semblance of a normal school day and not be drowned with endless questions by some media crew just looking for a story
c: the school is NEW it wasn’t even build there when the train wreaked some 20 years ago
b: ONE of the girls was known to have epileptic condition and was ON medication before this all got blown out of proportion by Big MEDIA that are just looking to create sensationalism that little fact seems to have gone ignored by pretty much everyone
the media has this turned into a Fruiting 3 ring circus I wish they would all just LEAVE and let our small community recover on its own all the media-blasting certainly isnt helping ANYONE
you have people in one corner blaming the school
you have people in another corner blaming it on nonexistent environmental issues
and you have the media in the center ring making sure things get selectively edited to ensure it stays as big as they can possibly make it THANK YOU free-speech =/

The school addressed the fracking concerns at the last public meeting. Media outlets and blogs have conveniently ignored the school’s statements however, which really shouldn’t come as any surprise. There’s a lot of money in fear-mongering these days.
Anyways, not all fracking is created equal. The super high-pressure fracking that’s done in Pennsylvania is not the same type of fracking done in LeRoy. The fracking in LeRoy is done with SALT WATER, which is pushed into the ground at a much lower pressure levels. That’s right: H2O and NaCl. And while salt water is harmful to vegetation (hence the dead grass and tree), it isn’t to blame for the girls’ illness.
Sorry to burst all of your bubbles here, but you’re barking up the wrong tree.
